For so many years, I'd always wait for the day after Thanksgiving to start decorating for Christmas. The last few years however, I have joined the many who start to decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving. It's not that I don't enjoy Thanksgiving, but I am a CHRISTMAS fanatic!! I don't host Thanksgiving, but I do host Christmas, and I have found it to be a little less stressful to start the decorating early, to give me plenty of time to prepare for the Holidays.
This past weekend, I was out behind our house in the woods, cutting all the pines and berries and filled my barrels, baskets, and hangers. I have to admit, many of years I've had to pour hot water in the barrels and containers just to get the pine and berry branches in. It was a treat to decorate them without having to do that.
Once finished, I decided I'd bring out some of the Christmas decor, I am a sucker for trees... I have one in every room of the house. Although, our family tree is still a REAL tree, and that will come home in a couple of weeks.
What's the theme this year, like many, I'm staying with Neutrals. Lots of greens, browns and whites.
I'm happy to share with you a few of my favorite styles, tips and trends for 2023. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!!
Until next time,
