Hello All,

As I started to decorate for Fall, I wanted a small darker toned vase on my console table.  So I decided to take an old white vase and grunge it up.  I painted it with a flat paint I had- Sherwin Williams- Cavair.  While it was still wet, I dabbed on with a sponge a little cinnamon and let it dry.  I love how it turned out.

What do you think?

For the crafty, here's an easy Valentine Decor DIY with yarn.

Simply cut out a heart out of cardboard- you can freehand, use a cookie cutter or trace from an online printable pattern.

Wrap yarn around once, tie a knot.  I usually use a glue gun and glue the end.  Then you will keep wrapping, criss-crossing to make a nice thick design.  When it is thick enough.  Again you'll knot, tuck and glue on the back.  Add twine or ribbon to use as an ornaments or keep plain as bowl fillers.

Have fun!!
