Hi All,
Boy, Winter sure has arrived! Here in New England, the warm weather ran away... It's been COLD, Snowy and Windy. A perfect time to refresh a room after the holidays. If you're like me, I don't decorate a whole lot for Valentines, but I do like the neutral decor. Who said Valentines Day decor has to be red, right? Below are a few favorites, and if you're handy and like to thrift and DIY, have a go.
1. The garland is made from some old vintage hearts I had from my primitive days, the cookie cutters I found at Goodwill. I took some twine and strung a few.
2. The cable knit sweater heart ornament was fun! I'm not a sewer, and this was made cutting out an old sweater. Hot glue the edges, but leave a whole to stuff with craft poly stuffing, (or sawdust if you burn and cut wood or have hamsters and use for cage).
3. The heart picture was found on @pinterest. Love the wood and white, a perfect neutral seasonal decor piece. The heart is rope, so wouldn't be too difficult to make. Cut and paint a board, old picture frame, etc. Cut a piece of rope long enough to form the heart. Get your handy dandy glue gun out, and glue the rope in the shape of heart onto the board, sign, picture frame or whatever you end up choosing.
4. The cutting board is a DIY, a heart was stenciled onto a cutting board with acrylic paint and rubbed for a worn look.
